Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mental Health Insurance Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for mental health insurance claims, ensuring accurate processing and effective communication between healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients. Your expertise will help streamline billing procedures, optimize reimbursement processes, and support patients in navigating their mental health coverage. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by facilitating access to mental health services through efficient insurance management.

Duties

Review and verify mental health insurance claims using coding systems such as ICD-9, ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) codes to ensure accuracy and compliance
Communicate with insurance providers to clarify coverage details, resolve claim denials, and expedite reimbursements.
Collaborate with billing company.
Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently for data entry, record keeping, and reporting purposes.
Assist patients with understanding their mental health benefits, coverage limitations, and billing inquiries.

Skills

Strong knowledge of medical coding including ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding, and DRG classifications specific to mental health services.
Proficiency in medical billing processes and medical collection procedures.
Experience working with EMR/EHR systems in a medical office environment.
Familiarity with medical records management, insurance claim submission protocols, and compliance standards.
Ability to interpret insurance policies and explain coverage options clearly to patients.

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
