About Simple Vacation Rentals

Simple Vacation Rentals is a boutique vacation rental management company based in Killington, Vermont. We help property owners get more from their investments while giving guests a smooth, memorable stay. Our approach is personal, responsive, and practical. We value integrity, transparency, teamwork, and getting the details right.

We’re looking for a capable, organized assistant who can help the owner and team stay ahead of daily operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who communicates clearly, follows through, and enjoys bringing order to a fast-moving business.

What you’ll do

Manage calendars, appointments, email, follow-ups, and day-to-day priorities for the owner
Help coordinate guest, property owner, vendor, maintenance, and housekeeping communications
Track open tasks and make sure important details do not fall through the cracks
Prepare documents, reports, spreadsheets, meeting notes, and standard operating procedures
Assist with reservations, property listings, guest information, and other administrative work
Organize digital files and keep business records accurate and easy to find
Research services, vendors, purchases, and operational questions as needed
Help improve recurring processes and identify practical ways to save time
Handle occasional local errands or property-related tasks
Support special projects across the business

You’ll be a strong fit if you

Are exceptionally organized and reliable
Communicate warmly and professionally by phone, email, and text
Use sound judgment and can handle confidential information with discretion
Take initiative, solve problems, and know when to ask a question
Can manage several priorities without losing track of details
Are comfortable learning new software and working across multiple online systems
Write clearly and are confident using calendars, documents, and spreadsheets
Stay calm when plans change or a time-sensitive guest or property issue arises

Preferred experience

Two or more years in an administrative, executive assistant, operations, hospitality, property management, or customer service role
Experience in vacation rentals, hotels, real estate, or a small business is helpful but not required
Familiarity with Google Workspace and modern task-management or reservation software
Knowledge of the Killington area is a plus
Reliable transportation for occasional local errands or property visits

Schedule

This is expected to be a part-time position of approximately 20–30 hours per week. Most scheduled hours will fall during regular business hours. Because hospitality can be time-sensitive, occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be requested. All time worked will be paid, and schedule expectations will be discussed in advance.
