Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help us streamline our financial processes, support budgeting efforts, and produce precise financial reports. Duties

Record and categorize financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts regularly to ensure data accuracy
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
Prepare journal entries, including debits & credits, to reflect financial activities accurately
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify financial integrity
Process payroll accurately and in compliance with applicable regulations
Assist in budgeting activities and prepare financial reports for internal review
Maintain compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant accounting standards
Perform account reconciliation tasks including bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures with attention to detail

Experience

Proven bookkeeping experience with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles
Hands-on experience with popular accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
Knowledge of corporate accounting practices and non-profit accounting is highly desirable
Familiarity with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and bank reconciliations
Strong proficiency in spreadsheets and financial report writing tools
Understanding of GAAP standards and general ledger accounting procedures
Experience working within public accounting or similar environments is a plus
Ability to interpret financial concepts clearly and communicate findings effectively
Prior experience in account analysis, budget management, and financial system integration is advantageous
