Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking energetic and passionate Line Cooks, Lead Line Cooks, Chefs, or Head Chefs to join our dynamic culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will be a part of a collabortive team to prep our menus for service, work the line during service and also create new and exciting food specials and menu updates. We are looking for a number of individuals that fit whether its a head chef, chef, part time cook/chef or full time cook/chef. We are hiring for both our Syracuse NY and King Ferry locations. See below for some general job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise (when needed) kitchen staff during all shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production
Oversee/Take part in food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to meet restaurant standards and customer expectations
Help with inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices when needed
Implement and uphold food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations
Collaborate on menu planning and recipe development to keep offerings fresh, innovative, and aligned with customer preferences.
From time to time Coordinate/assist catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional service quality
Train new team members on food handling techniques, safety protocols, and culinary skills while fostering a positive team environment

Experience

Proven experience in food production a must. Wood fired oven skills a bonus.
Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience managing kitchen teams (for lead postiion) in fast-paced environments. working in collabortive ways to elevate co workers and include them in the creative process(if applicable)
Extensive knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitizing practices, and dietary department standards
Strong background in menu planning, inventory management, cost control, and food service management

Previous roles involving restaurant management or food service leadership are advantageous

We continue to grow as a culinary team and are expanding our full and part time employees to grow with us. Pay is dependent on Experience and negotiable. We are hiring for both of our locations with restaurants, in both King Ferry NY and Syracuse NY. A flexible person who can work in either location would be advantageuos.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
