Length of Assignment: 3 months

Position Overview:

Summary:

Programmer should be able to work independently and with customers, business analysts and other developers to design and develop web application user interfaces.

The role of the .Net Developer/Analyst will include working independently and with customers, business analysts and other developers to design and develop web application user interfaces.

Work may also include development of web services, creating .NET / SharePoint workflows (if candidate has the highly desired Shrpt exp), designing and implementing small databases for applications.

This position will require the ability to produce accurate estimates, collaborate with other developers and functional users to determine business requirements, and work independently to implement the required technical solutions in a timely fashion.

Applicant should be motivated, confident, and able to take the lead on tasks assigned. They should possess good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to solve complex problems quickly.

Applicant must be willing to learn new technologies, keep on top of emerging trends in Microsoft-based web application development, and be willing to interact with customers or other departments as needed.

Required Experience/Skills:

5+ years experience with ASP.NET application and forms development (web-based) Proficient in Microsoft Technologies and languages (Visual Studio, C# or VB.NET).

5+ years experience in the development of web-based interfaces (HTML / XHTML, CSS, JavaScript/AJAX or similar), with a focus on design and usability Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities BA/BS in computer science, information systems, or related field (or degree + appropriate experience or certification)

Must possess a willingness to learn new technologies and keep abreast of emerging trends in Microsoft-based web application development

Experience/Skills (Highly Preferred):

Experience with MOSS/SharePoint 2007 development, integration and content management using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 / InfoPath, SharePoint Designer and ASP.Net SharePoint Object Model. Experience developing web services utilizing Object Oriented design patterns, web services, XML

Working knowledge of databases to include MS SQL Server 2005+, Oracle, ADO/ODBC Experience with MS SQL Server Reporting Services and similar reporting/analysis tools (COGNOS, Oracle Discoverer)

Passing a national criminal background check is required.

NOTE:

In-peron interview required; Locals preferable;

Required Skills: NET Application Development exp — 5 Years; C# (preferred) or VB.NET programming (pls specify which) — 5 Years; Web development experience (ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) — 5 Years;

Preferred Skills: MOSS / SharePoint 2007 Development experience — 3 Years; Database Experience (MS SQL Server 2005+) — 3 Years Microsoft development certification — 3 Years; SQL Server Reporting Services (or similar – Discoverer, Cognos, Crystal) — 3 Years; Bachelor’s Degree — 4 Years;
