Job Summary:
The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's fleet of trucks, trailers, industrial painting equipment, and related assets. This position ensures that all vehicles and equipment are maintained, compliant, safe, and available to support daily operations and project requirements. The Fleet Manager will coordinate maintenance activities, track asset utilization, manage inventory, oversee vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with all company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain company-owned trucks, trailers, and industrial painting equipment.
- Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance and repairs for all fleet assets.
- Maintain accurate records for inspections, registrations, licenses, permits, and maintenance history.
- Monitor equipment utilization, availability, and downtime.
- Coordinate repairs with internal personnel and external vendors.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Manage fuel usage, maintenance costs, and equipment operating expenses.
- Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company safety requirements.
- Track and manage equipment assignments, transfers, and replacements.
- Investigate vehicle or equipment incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Obtain quotes, negotiate services, and manage vendor relationships.
- Prepare reports related to fleet performance, maintenance costs, and asset utilization.
- Support field operations by ensuring equipment is project-ready and available when needed.
- Recommend fleet and equipment improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of fleet management, equipment management, or related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of truck maintenance and industrial painting equipment operations.
- Understanding of DOT and OSHA regulations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and fleet management software preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
Pay:
Starting pay varies from $25.00 to $35.00 per hour based on experience.

Work Environment:
This position requires work in both office and field environments, including equipment yards, maintenance facilities, and project sites. Occasional travel to job sites may be required.
