Full Job Description

What We're Looking For

Start to Finish Paving, LLC is seeking a dependable, experienced, and safety-conscious Grader Operator I to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who is skilled in operating a motor grader, understands basic grading techniques, and takes pride in producing accurate, quality work. The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, able to follow instructions, and committed to supporting the success of the team.

This position supports roadway construction, paving, site preparation, and maintenance operations by performing rough and finish grading, shaping surfaces, and assisting field crews as assigned.

Responsibilities

· Safely operate a motor grader for road construction, paving, and site preparation

· Perform rough and finish grading according to project requirements

· Shape road surfaces, shoulders, slopes, ditches, and drainage areas

· Read grade stakes and follow instructions provided by supervisors

· Complete daily pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections

· Report equipment defects, maintenance needs, and safety concerns promptly

· Assist with general field operations and related duties as assigned

· Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

· Previous experience operating a motor grader required

· Knowledge of rough and finish grading techniques

· Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred

· Ability to read grade stakes and understand basic project specifications

· Ability to work outdoors in heat, dust, rain, and uneven terrain

· Reliable transportation

· Strong work ethic with excellent attendance

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
