Property Manager - Affordable Housing (Confidential)

Position Overview:
A growing property management organization is seeking an experienced and driven Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a multifamily community. This leadership role is responsible for financial performance, resident satisfaction, team management, and overall asset success.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can balance operational efficiency with exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with all applicable housing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all day-to-day operations of the property, including leasing, maintenance, and administrative functions
Manage and lead on-site team members, providing direction, training, and performance oversight
Ensure rent collection is completed timely and delinquency is minimized through appropriate follow-up and legal processes
Monitor property financial performance, including budgeting, expense control, and variance reporting
Review and approve invoices, expenditures, and financial reports
Maintain accurate resident files, leases, and reporting documentation
Ensure full occupancy through effective leasing strategies and market awareness
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure curb appeal and asset preservation
Oversee move-ins, move-outs, and unit readiness standards
Ensure service requests are completed promptly and follow up on resident satisfaction
Manage vendor relationships and ensure quality and compliance with service standards
Handle resident relations, including escalations and conflict resolution
Ensure compliance with all Fair Housing, local, state, and federal regulations
Prepare and submit required operational and financial reports
Actively work to maximize property performance and meet ownership goals

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in multifamily property management, including leadership responsibilities
Strong background in leasing, operations, and financial management
Affordable housing experience (LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, etc.) strongly preferred
Proven ability to manage teams and drive performance
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, or similar)
Solid understanding of Fair Housing and applicable regulations

Additional Requirements:

Ability to work evenings and weekends as business needs require
Professional demeanor with strong leadership presence
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Valid driver’s license
