Full Job Description

Human Resources Specialist – Mid-Level - Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Location: On-Site – Manufacturing Facility

Salary: DOE

Position Summary

TOYO Solar is seeking a hands-on HR Specialist to support daily HR operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will assist with recruiting, onboarding, HRIS administration, employee recordkeeping, and employee support. The HR Specialist will work closely with employees, supervisors, and managers to ensure smooth HR operations and a positive employee experience.

This position is ideal for an HR professional with 2–4 years of experience who can manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and provide excellent support to employees and management.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Onboarding Support

Assist with posting job openings and screening resumes.
Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
Help prepare new hire paperwork and onboarding materials.
Conduct new employee orientations and assist with onboarding activities.
Coordinate background checks and pre-employment requirements.

HR Administration & Employee Records

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
Process employee status changes (transfers, promotions, terminations) with guidance.
Support HRIS updates and employee data maintenance.
Track policy acknowledgments and required documentation.

Employee Support

Serve as a point of contact for employee HR questions and basic payroll inquiries.
Assist employees with benefits enrollment and HR self-service tools.
Provide guidance on HR policies and escalate complex issues to HR leadership.

HR Operations & Compliance

Assist with compliance-related documentation and reporting.
Support departmental projects, HR reporting, and data collection.
Maintain confidentiality and professional handling of employee information.

Qualifications

Required

2–4 years of HR experience in a generalist, specialist, or administrative role.
Experience with onboarding, HRIS, employee records, or recruiting support.
Knowledge of HR best practices and employment law fundamentals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple priorities.

Preferred

Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with ADP or other HRIS/payroll systems.
Benefits administration and 401K experience
HR Employment Laws and Compliance experience
Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Mandarin is a plus
