Full Job Description

Join Foss Recycling as an HR Coordinator and play a vital role in supporting our Human Resources department within a growing company! We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to contribute to a positive and efficient workplace.

The Human Resources Coordinator – Employee Development & Training is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing key employee-development programs throughout the organization. This position will oversee new-hire orientation, employee evaluations, manager training, leadership development, and ongoing employee training initiatives.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, approachable, and capable of working with employees at all levels of the organization. This person will partner closely with managers to ensure employees understand company expectations, receive meaningful feedback, and have the tools and training necessary to succeed.

This position will also help establish consistent HR practices across all company locations and ensure managers are following company policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities1. New Employee Orientation

Develop and manage a consistent company-wide new-hire orientation program.
Conduct or coordinate orientation for all new employees.
Ensure new employees receive information regarding:
Company culture and expectations
Policies and procedures
Benefits
Safety requirements
Attendance and timekeeping
Workplace conduct
Performance expectations
Company structure and resources
Coordinate with managers to ensure new employees receive department-specific training.
Develop a structured 30-, 60-, and 90-day onboarding process.
Follow up with new employees and managers to identify concerns or training needs.

2. Employee Evaluations & Performance Management

Develop and maintain the company's employee evaluation process.
Establish standardized evaluation forms and procedures across all locations.
Coordinate annual, probationary, and other required employee evaluations.
Train managers on how to conduct effective performance evaluations.
Ensure evaluations are completed accurately and on schedule.
Help managers establish meaningful performance goals for employees.
Assist managers with performance improvement plans when necessary.
Monitor evaluation completion and report outstanding evaluations to leadership.
Maintain appropriate documentation of employee performance.

3. Manager Training & Development

Develop and conduct training programs for supervisors and managers.
Provide training on:
Leadership and communication
Employee accountability
Performance management
Conducting evaluations
Coaching and counseling employees
Documentation
Company policies
Handling employee complaints
Attendance and performance issues
Conflict resolution
Employment law and HR compliance
Develop a new-manager training program for employees promoted into supervisory or management positions.
Provide ongoing management-development programs.
Identify managers who need additional coaching or development.

4. Employee Development

Identify organizational training needs through evaluations, manager feedback, turnover information, and employee performance.
Develop and coordinate training programs designed to improve employee performance and retention.
Maintain a company-wide training calendar.
Track employee participation and completion of required training.
Assist managers in creating development plans for high-potential employees.
Help establish career-development opportunities throughout the organization.

5. HR Policies & Consistency

Help ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied across all company locations.
Work with managers to reinforce company expectations and policies.
Identify inconsistencies in HR practices and recommend corrective action.
Assist in updating employee handbooks, policies, forms, and training materials.
Maintain appropriate confidentiality of employee information.

6. HR Communication

Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR-related questions.
Promote clear and consistent communication between management and employees.
Assist with employee relations issues and escalate serious matters to the appropriate HR or executive leadership.
Help communicate changes in company policies, procedures, benefits, and expectations.

Performance Measures

Success in this position will be measured by:

100% completion of new-hire orientation
100% completion of required employee evaluations
Timely completion of 30-, 60-, and 90-day employee follow-ups
Manager participation in required training
Improvement in manager performance and accountability
Employee retention and turnover trends
Employee training completion rates
Consistency of HR practices across locations
Employee and manager satisfaction with HR support
Reduction in recurring employee-performance issues

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
