Full Job Description

MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY I ONSITE

Collections Specialist
Solara Surgical Partners LLC

Solara Surgical Partners LLC is seeking a driven and detail oriented Collections Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team. In this role you will be responsible for performing all appropriate collection activities to obtain full reimbursement and payment from patients and third party payers. If you have a strong background in healthcare billing and collections and thrive in a fast paced environment where accuracy and follow through matter, we want to hear from you.

What You Will Do

As a Collections Specialist, you will serve as a primary point of contact for account resolution across assigned facilities, working all facility accounts and meeting collection activity schedules established by the Revenue Cycle Manager. You will complete correspondence, rebills, denials, and appeals within required timelines, analyze claim underpayments and overpayments to identify root causes, and monitor accuracy and completeness of patient accounts including demographic, insurance, referral, and pre-certification information. You will maintain expert knowledge of the accounts receivable system, utilize collection evaluation tools to meet cash collection goals, and ensure complete and accurate documentation across all patient and insurance inquiries. You will also stay current on insurance changes and requirements and maintain up to date carrier information in the system.

What You Bring

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with post-secondary education in healthcare administration or a related field preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in billing and patient account management in a healthcare setting is required. Proven knowledge of correct collection practices, Medicare compliance billing guidelines, and Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care contracts is preferred. Knowledge of global and bundling coding guidelines is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting daily deadlines are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. A clean driving record, drug screen, and background check are required to meet contractual obligations.
