Full Job Description

Overview
The General Manager will work to streamline the administrative responsibilities of the marina which include, but are not limited to: revenue management, CapEx initiatives, hiring and training leadership, departmental oversight, controlling expenses, customer service and contract management.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year marina experience; and be focused on delivering exceptional customer service while driving sales and maintaining efficient inventory control. This role requires a hands-on leader who can motivate a team and ensure that all functions run smoothly.

This person will work onsite at the marina location.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of store management, including staffing, inventory control, and sales performance.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
Train, mentor, and supervise staff to enhance their skills in customer service and sales techniques.
Analyze retail data to make informed decisions regarding inventory purchases and stock levels.
Maintain high standards of visual merchandising to create an appealing shopping environment.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment on goals and operational procedures.
Manage budgeting and financial planning to ensure the store operates within its financial means.
Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration among staff members.

Skills

Proven experience in retail management with a focus on driving sales performance.
Strong sales management skills with the ability to motivate a team towards achieving targets.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Proficiency analyzing sales data and making informed purchasing decisions.
Ability to train and develop staff through effective coaching techniques.
Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience in supervising teams while maintaining a positive work atmosphere.
