Job description:

Position Summary:

No weekends, no nights! A great place to work with excellent physicians – and co-workers who support each other! With over 30 years of serving patients in the East Tennessee area, we have earned our stable and impeccable reputation.

Duties include:

1. Run Daily eligibility of your clinic at least 1 day prior to clinic day to verify active insurance.

2. Check to see if any insurance referrals are required for clinic, if needed you will need to call PCP and get those or make sure existing ones are still active and current, attach to the encounter in Cerner prior to the visit.

3. Assist in answering phones / making appts. when not in clinic.

4. Schedule all outpatient testing appts. such as Ultrasounds/ CT’s/ MRI’s/ Etc. Submit all predeterminations/ precertification to task force.

5. Add med streaming orders during office visit for follow up appts / MA will check orders prior to clinics as part of chart review and will add as necessary

6. Scanning as soon as possible. Same day if possible if not then within 24 hrs after clinic.

7. Work No show/ Cancel tasks. (This is for both team members to assist each other)

8. Mail / fax out letters to referring MD

9. Circulate Vein procedures.

10. Check tasks frequently and update.

11. Check Voicemail and return calls every 4 hrs.

Requirements/ Preferred:

· One year’s medical office experience strongly preferred

· Excellent customer service

· Knowledge of insurance plans preferred

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Cerner software and electronic medical charts experience helpful
