Contractor Optician opening

This position will allow you to enjoy the great outdoors while providing exceptional eye care by working alongside an Optometrist.

This position will include 8-14 day clinic trip per month to rural locations in Alaska. With this position you will be traveling with an optometrist to provide exceptional eyecare to communities in need. While on each trip, all expenses are paid.

Job Summary:As a Traveling Optician, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional eyewear services to clients across different locations in Alaska. Your primary focus will be to provide comprehensive optical care, ensuring accurate measurements, fittings, and adjustments for eyeglasses and contact lenses. This role requires extensive travel within the state of Alaska.

Responsibilities:

Travel to Various Locations:Plan and organize travel to different optometry clinics and locations across Alaska.
Ensure timely arrival and setup of equipment at each location.

Eyewear Consultations:Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their visual needs and preferences.
Provide expert advice on frame selection, lens options, and lens coatings.

Measurement and Fitting:Accurately measure clients for eyeglasses, taking into account facial features, prescription requirements, and lifestyle considerations.
Perform precise fittings and adjustments to ensure optimal comfort and vision correction.

Customer Service:Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor during interactions with clients.

Documentation:Maintain accurate and detailed records of client information, prescriptions, and services provided.
Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to eyewear orders.

Stay Informed:Stay updated on industry trends, new eyewear products, and advances in optical technology.
Attend relevant training sessions or workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

Licensed Optician: Hold a valid optician license in the state of Alaska.
Experience: Previous experience as an optician, especially in a traveling capacity, is preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility: Ability to adapt to different work environments and travel schedules.
Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail in measurements and fittings.
Customer-Focused: Dedication to providing exceptional customer service.

Pay: $175.00 - $250.00 per day
