Full Job Description

Position Description:

Member of the Quality Control Department assigned to ensure the quality of the manufacturing process through tests and microbiological analysis. In addition, to be able to detect and provide necessary solutions or improvements that allow compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) and Current Good Laboratory Practices (CGLP).

Major Areas of Responsibility:

Is responsible for performing different microbiological tests for the appropriate disposition to finish products, raw materials, water and manufacturing areas based on the following:

· Compliance with CGMP / CGLP

· Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP)

· Interpretation of SOPs to carry out microbiological analysis process.

· Verify documentation for completeness, accuracy and compliance with pre-established specifications.

· Monitor manufacturing areas as established in the Microbiological control monitoring Program used in Galephar to ensure that manufacturing areas are in control.

· Provide support to the Quality Unit to solve possible problems identified during the monitoring, analysis, verification and evaluation processes of data.

· Strong analysis strategies in microbiological processes.

· Strong skills and knowledge of aseptic techniques.

Primary Objectives:

Support and guarantee that the products, raw materials, water, and manufacturing areas are in compliance to carry out the manufacturing processes carried out in Galephar P.R.

Specific Responsibilities:

· Microbiological Analysis- Enumeration Test, Specified Microorganisms Test and Suitability Test

o Raw Materials / Finished Products (Commercial)

o Raw Material / Intermediate Products / Finished Products (Research and Development)

· Sampling and Microbiological Analysis

o Purified and Potable Water

o Environmental Air, Compressed Air, Equipment, Facilities

· Preparation of Media and Solutions in the Laboratory

· Perform the sterility test, promotional growth, inhibition test to the media prepared in the laboratory and commercial

· Administers microbial identification methods using manual methods of API, gram stain, and ancillary testing

· Management of the laboratory equipment such as pH meter, autoclave, hot plate, dispenser, cabinet safety hood, laminar flow hood, water bath, incubator, and microscope

· Other

According to the business needs the employee could be required to performed additional activities that are considered to be within personnel qualifications and capabilities.
