Description

The School District of La Crosse is accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE 260-day, nonunion salary, Data Services Manager in the District Office. Projected start date: May 4, 2026

Reports To: Supervisor of Information Technology

Terms of Employment:

Recruited by: Director of Human Resources and Supervisor of Information Technology

Salary: Set annually by the District

Terms: 12 months

Job Summary:

To plan, organize, and direct the use of district data services including instructional data support systems and related database systems as appropriate. Assist staff to effectively utilize these systems.

Position Relationships:

Evaluated by: Supervisor of Information Technology

Coordinates with: All IT department staff, District Administrators, Curriculum and Instruction staff

Supervises: District Registrar, Data & Systems Specialist (Data Analyst), and Data & Systems Specialist (Systems Admin)

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Database services degree or certifications as appropriate to current district needs preferred

Extensive experience programming, using, and supporting databases, reporting, and disseminating information

Computer database programming experience preferred

Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively

Strong management and coordination skills

Work experience in an educational setting preferred

Demonstrated ability to analyze information communications processes to bring efficiencies to systems and people processes

Experience with the district's student information data services software applications preferred

Excellent problem-solving abilities

Excellent customer service skills

Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly

Demonstrated basic networking knowledge
