The Facilities Stewardship Technician position combines professional facility care responsibilities with specialized floor care, facility presentation, and environmental stewardship duties. Work will focus primarily on commercial, institutional, specialty, and religious facilities requiring elevated attention to detail and preservation-minded practices, with residential service responsibilities performed as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Dusting
- Vacuuming
- Mopping
- Sanitizing
- Restroom cleaning
- High-touch surface disinfection
- Interior detail cleaning
Perform floor care and floor stewardship duties including:
- Hard floor maintenance
- Vacuum and carpet care
- Spot treatment and extraction support
- Floor finish preservation
- Safe use of floor equipment and specialty tools
- Monitoring floor conditions and reporting wear or damage concerns
Support preservation-minded cleaning practices in sensitive environments including:
- Religious facilities
- Historic properties
- Public gathering spaces
- High-visibility commercial environments
- Follow company cleaning systems, quality standards, and facility-specific procedures.
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies in accordance with company policy and OSHA standards.
- Maintain a professional appearance, respectful demeanor, and strong customer-service attitude at all times.
- Assist with periodic deep cleans, special projects, post-event cleanings, and seasonal facility care needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and report supply, equipment, maintenance, or safety concerns promptly.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and readiness of company vehicles, equipment, and storage areas.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong attention to detail and professional work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and operate floor-care equipment safely.
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and respectful conduct in client environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior residential, commercial, custodial, hospitality, or facilities-care experience.
- Experience with floor machines, carpet extraction, or hard-floor maintenance.
- Experience working in churches, schools, healthcare, or public facilities.
- Strong customer-service or hospitality background.
- Interest in long-term facility stewardship and specialty cleaning skills.
- Knowledge of low-residue, surface-safe, or environmentally conscious cleaning practices.
SCHEDULE & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Flexible part-time schedules available based on facility and client operational needs.
- Work schedules may include daytime, evening, weekend, or rotating assignments depending on facility requirements, seasonal demands, and special events.
- Typical work hours: 15 – 30 per week, with opportunity for expanded responsibilities as the company grows.
- Work performed primarily in commercial, institutional, specialty, and religious facilities throughout the Coulee Region, with residential assignments as needed.
- Certain facilities may require consistent stewardship coverage throughout the week, including weekends or holiday periods.
