Parts Specialist - La Crosse, WI

Johnson Tractor is accepting applications for a Parts Specialist at our La Crosse, WI location. Duties include assisting customers with parts sales and stocking and receiving parts. Excellent customer service skills, mechanical aptitude, computer skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are required. Experience with agriculture equipment is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time (40-45 hours per week)

Primary Job Duties:

Assist customers (both on phone and in store) to promptly resolve their parts needs based on descriptions of issues.
Advise customers on alternate solutions when exact solutions are not available.
Anticipate customer needs and suggestive sell corresponding products/parts or preventative service.
Inform customers on features and benefits of all parts commodities and systems represented by dealership.
Use manufacturer software programs to locate replacement parts stock numbers and prices.
Participate in all inventory counts as needed.
Maintain current parts knowledge by using company bulletins, catalogs and trainings offered.
Receive and fill customer orders for parts.
Fill customer orders from stocked parts.
Prepare sales receipts and/or receive payment for parts sales.
Mark and locate parts in appropriate storage areas.
Maintain clean and professional merchandising display areas.
Inspect returned parts for defects and exchange or process refunds.
Delivering and picking up orders at off-site locations as directed.

Qualifications:

Strong customer service skills with the ability to build relationships and provide prompt, knowledgeable assistance.
Mechanical aptitude and understanding of agricultural or heavy equipment parts preferred.
Proficiency with computers and the ability to quickly learn manufacturer software programs.
Excellent multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process orders and inventory.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to lift and move parts or packages of varying weights as required.
Valid driver’s license with the ability to make occasional parts deliveries.
Previous experience in parts sales, inventory management, or a related field preferred but not required.
