Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician or Sterile Processing Technician Trainee to join our Central Services team in La Crosse, WI.

Whether you're an experienced Sterile Processing Technician or looking to start a healthcare career through our paid training program , this is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in patient safety and infection prevention while building valuable skills in a growing field.

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician or Sterile Processing Technician Trainee to join our Central Services team. This is a unique opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in a critical role that directly impacts patient safety and infection prevention.

Behind every successful procedure is a team ensuring instruments and equipment are safe, sterile, and ready for patient care. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll help protect patients, support clinical teams, and contribute to exceptional healthcare outcomes every day.

Location: East Building and Main Campus, La Crosse, WI

Department: Sterile Processing

Employment: Full-Time (1.0 FTE, 40 hours/week)

Shift : Monday- Friday, 2: 30 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do

Decontaminate and clean medical instruments
Perform sterilization processes
Assemble and package surgical instruments
Manage storage and distribution of supplies and equipment

You’ll also gain exposure to:

Infection prevention protocols
Quality and safety standards
The full sterile processing lifecycle

Competitive starting pay of $19.05/hour, with additional compensation based on experience
Trainee starting pay of $17.75/hour, with a wage increase upon successful completion of training

What You’ll Need:

Sterile Processing Tech requirements : High School Diploma or equivalency AND completion of an approved surgical tech or sterile processing tech program OR High School Diploma or equivalency AND 1 or more years of sterile processing experience
Sterile Processing Tech Trainee requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a sterile processing cohort and/or sterile processing program within 6 months of hire (we provide the training program)

Strong attention to detail and reliability
Interest in a hands-on healthcare career
Sterile Processing experience preferred
