Full Job Description

Title: Senior Accountant
Company: Technology Industry
Compensation: $45-52/hr (DOE)

Job Description:

Prepare and record journal entries related to payroll, bonuses, commissions, paid time off (PTO), and employee benefits.
Reconcile payroll-related balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies or unusual variances.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities by ensuring payroll data is recorded accurately and timely.
Maintain compliance with GAAP and established accounting policies and procedures.
Assist internal and external audit processes by preparing supporting schedules, reports, and documentation.
Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve payroll-related accounting issues and ensure data integrity.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
Solid understanding of payroll accounting, accruals, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
