At Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center (AVRMC), our administrative professionals play a vital role in supporting patient care by ensuring daily operations run efficiently and professionally. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Administrative Assistant to support our Facilities Management team in La Junta, Colorado.

As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide essential clerical and administrative support to departmental staff while serving as a key point of contact for visitors, vendors, and internal teams. This role requires professionalism, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
This is a Full-Time position within our Facilities Management Department.
Front Office & Communication
- Greet all visitors and sales representatives in a welcoming, professional manner and provide direction as needed
- Answer phone calls politely and professionally, assisting callers or routing requests appropriately
- Receive, distribute, and manage departmental mail and correspondence
- Handle daily correspondence in a timely and organized manner
Administrative Support & Documentation
- Type departmental records, memos, and documents accurately and efficiently
- Take and prepare meeting minutes for departmental meetings when requested
- Process work orders and purchase orders
- Maintain electronic and paper filing systems to ensure organization and accessibility
- Maintain payroll timesheets and support related administrative processes
Department & Team Support
- Assist department staff with administrative tasks as needed, demonstrating teamwork and flexibility
- Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Actively participate in department performance improvement and quality improvement initiatives
- Attend all staff meetings and support departmental communication
Professionalism, Safety & Compliance
- Report to work on time and as scheduled
- Adhere to dress code and maintain a neat, professional appearance
- Wear required identification while on duty
- Complete all annual education and training requirements
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
Preferred
- Associate’s Degree
- One year of experience in an office or administrative setting
