Summary of Position

Work Category: Non-exempt, Full-time, On-site

Due to the departure of our current Property Accounting Assistant, we are seeking an entry-level replacement to support the Property Accounting team. This position is ideal for a current accounting student, recent graduate, or an individual looking to begin a career in accounting and real estate finance.

he Property Accounting Assistant will provide administrative and accounting support for a portfolio properties while gaining hands-on experience in reconciliations, financial reporting, account payable, and general accounting functions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Assist with monthly close processes and preparation of supporting schedules.
Prepare account reconciliations and research outstanding items.
Review and organize invoices and supporting documentation.
Assist with accounts payable and vendor inquiries.
Maintain accounting files and electronic records.
Support bank reconciliations and cash reporting.
Assist with tenant billing and collections tracking.
Prepare recurring reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
Communicate with property managers and internal departments regarding accounting-related questions.
Scan, upload, and organize accounting documents, invoices, lease files, and other supporting records to ensure accurate electronic recordkeeping and compliance with Perform special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Prior internship, bookkeeping, or administrative experience.
Current enrollment or recent graduate
Exposure to accounting principles through coursework.
Interest in property management, real estate, or accounting careers.
