Full Job Description

Machine Operator | Hurricane, UT

Nexeo Staffing is seeking skilled Machine Operators / CNC Operators for a leading steel fabrication and structural manufacturing facility in Hurricane, UT. This company supports large-scale industrial and commercial construction projects nationwide.

If you have experience in metal fabrication, CNC machinery, or industrial equipment operation, this is a strong opportunity to grow with a stable, high-demand manufacturer.

Responsibilities

Operate fabrication equipment such as: CNC drill lines, Beam lines, Plate processors, Band saws, Punches and shears
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and cut lists
Measure materials using tape measures and precision tools
Load/unload materials using overhead cranes and forklifts
Perform machine setup, adjustments, and basic maintenance
Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues
Maintain production output while ensuring quality standards
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Maintain a clean, organized workspace (5S practices)
Collaborate with welders, fitters, and QC teams

Qualifications

Experience in steel fabrication, manufacturing, or machine operation preferred
Experience with CNC machines or heavy industrial equipment is a strong plus
Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure accurately
Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, measurements)
Forklift or overhead crane experience (or willingness to train)
Strong attention to detail and quality

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Stand and work on feet for extended periods
Comfortable working in an industrial shop environment (heat, noise, dust)

Pay

$20.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level

Schedule

Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 5:00am – 3:30pm
Swing Shift | Monday – Friday | 3:30pm – 2:00am (+$3/hour differential)
Overtime: Time-and-a-half after 40 hours
Saturdays required during peak production
(Current rotation: 2 Saturdays on, 1 off)
Saturday Hours:
Day: 5:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Swing: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
