Clinical Optometric Technician / Medical Assistant

Location: Bellevue, NE

Join a Technology-Focused Optometry Practice

We are a privately owned, patient-centered optometry practice seeking an energetic, compassionate, and detail-oriented Clinical Optometric Technician to join our team.

Whether you have experience in eye care, medical assisting, nursing, or another healthcare field, we’re looking for someone who enjoys learning, takes pride in providing exceptional patient care, and wants to become an important part of a close-knit practice.

What You’ll Learn

You will receive training to become proficient with advanced eye care technology, including:

· Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

· Retinal imaging

· Visual field testing

· Electroretinography (ERG)

· Color vision and functional vision testing

· Electronic medical records (Eyefinity EHR)

Responsibilities

· Welcome and prepare patients for their examinations

· Obtain medical and ocular histories

· Perform preliminary testing

· Operate advanced diagnostic equipment

· Assist the doctor during patient examinations

· Document findings accurately in the electronic medical record

· Educate patients regarding testing and treatment plans

· Assist with patient checkout and scheduling when needed

· Maintain clean, organized examination rooms

· Work collaboratively with teammates to provide an exceptional patient experience

· Optometry

· Ophthalmology

· Medical assisting

· Dental assisting

· Pharmacy technician
