MEMBER EXPERIENCE ASSOCIATE
Better Days Begin Here.
At Daymaker, we believe movement has the power to change more than your body - it can change your day.
We're building something different in New Hampshire's Lakes Region: an integrated fitness and wellness studio where strength, cycling, yoga, and Pilates work together as one thoughtfully designed system. Every detail, from our programming to our hospitality, is intentional.
We believe remarkable experiences are created by remarkable people.
That's where you come in.
Our Member Experience Associates are far more than receptionists. They are hosts. They are connectors. They remember names, celebrate milestones, calm first-day nerves, anticipate needs before they're spoken, and create the feeling that keeps people coming back long after the workout is over.
If you believe genuine hospitality is a skill, love making people feel seen, and take pride in creating exceptional experiences, we'd love to meet you.
Your Purpose
You are responsible for creating the first and last impression every member has at Daymaker.
Success in this role isn't measured by how quickly you check someone in. It's measured by how people feel when they leave.
Every interaction should leave someone feeling welcomed, cared for, and excited to return.
What You'll Do
Deliver Exceptional Hospitality
- Welcome every member by name whenever possible.
- Make every first-time visitor feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely excited to be here.
- Learn members' names, routines, preferences, and milestones.
- Answer questions with warmth, confidence, and professionalism.
- Help members navigate class bookings, memberships, retail purchases, and studio policies.
- Confidently communicate the value of Daymaker's memberships, classes, and offerings and help members find the option that best fits their needs.
- Thoughtfully resolve issues with empathy, ownership, and grace.
- Look for opportunities to surprise and delight members through small, meaningful gestures.
- Support our coaches in creating seamless experiences before and after every class.
Care for Our Space
- Maintain a beautiful, clean, organized, and welcoming studio throughout every shift.
- Restock towels, amenities, retail displays, refreshments, and studio supplies.
- Reset spaces between classes and help ensure they're ready for whatever comes next.
- Perform routine cleaning and upkeep throughout the studio as needed.
- Notice the little things before our members do and take initiative to address them.
Support Daily Operations
- Open and close the studio according to Daymaker standards.
- Process memberships, retail purchases, and reservations accurately.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and member inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Follow all company policies related to privacy, safety, cleanliness, and operations.
- Help deliver a consistent, exceptional experience for every guest, every visit.
- Jump in wherever needed to help the team and studio operate at a high standard.
Who Thrives at Daymaker
This role may be a great fit if you...
- Believe excellence is built through hundreds of small, thoughtful details.
- Find genuine joy in making someone else's day better.
- Naturally notice when someone needs help before they ask.
- Take pride in creating beautiful, organized, welcoming spaces.
- Love learning people's names and making people feel like they belong.
- Stay calm, positive, and solutions-oriented when things get busy.
- Hold yourself to a high standard, even when no one is watching.
- Take initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs attention.
- Enjoy working as part of a team that gives and receives feedback with kindness.
- Believe hospitality is a collective effort and something everyone is responsible for.
- Are excited by the opportunity to grow, learn, and continually improve your craft.
This role may not be the best fit if you...
- Prefer staying behind a desk rather than engaging with people.
- Wait to be told what needs to be done instead of looking for ways to help.
- Believe "good enough" is good enough.
- Become easily overwhelmed in a fast-paced environment.
- Aren't interested in receiving coaching or continuing to develop professionally.
- See customer service as completing transactions rather than creating experiences.
- Aren't comfortable pitching in with cleaning, resetting, restocking, and the hands-on work required to keep a busy studio running beautifully.
Qualifications
We're much more interested in who you are than where you've worked.
Experience in hospitality, fitness, retail, restaurants, hotels, or customer service is a plus, but it isn't required.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Is organized and detail-oriented.
- Is comfortable learning new technology and software.
- Can multitask while maintaining a calm, positive demeanor.
- Is dependable, punctual, and takes ownership of their work.
- Is comfortable working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Is excited to help build something special from the ground up.
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on role in a fitness studio environment. Team members must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
- Remaining on your feet and moving throughout the studio for extended periods during a shift.
- Frequently bending, reaching, carrying, stocking, cleaning, and resetting studio spaces.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, or moving equipment, supplies, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Safely assisting with the physical tasks required to open, close, maintain, and reset the studio.
What We Offer
- $17/hour starting pay
- Complimentary Daymaker membership
- Employee retail discount
- Paid training
- Ongoing education and professional development
- Opportunities for advancement as Daymaker grows
Our Hiring Philosophy
At Daymaker, we're less interested in finding people with the perfect résumé than we are in finding people with the right mindset.
We can teach our systems.
We can coach hospitality skills.
We can train technology and operations.
What we're looking for are people who genuinely care about others, take pride in their work, and want to be part of building something meaningful from the very beginning.
We believe the quality of our members' experience can never exceed the quality of our team's experience. You'll be supported, challenged, encouraged to keep learning, and surrounded by people who care deeply about doing meaningful work together.
If you read this and thought, "This sounds like my kind of place," we'd love to hear your story.
