Job Summary

Are you looking for meaningful work that offers flexibility, competitive compensation, and a supportive, mission‑driven environment? We are seeking dedicated experienced Behavior Consultants to provide high‑quality behavior support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities receiving services through the Indiana Medicaid Home and Community‑Based Waiver. This consulting role serves individuals across Tippecanoe County and surrounding areas, offering you the opportunity to make a lasting impact in your area while maintaining control over your schedule and caseload.

Job duties:

Creating a functional behavior assessment (FBA) that identifies preliminary recommendations for behavioral support techniques
Developing a person-centered behavior support plan (BSP) or consultation plan and subsequent revisions
Obtaining consensus of the Individualized Support Team (IST) that the BSP is feasible for implementation on a quarterly basis
Completing competency training with all waiver service providers on implementation of the BSP
Training with individuals in assertiveness/self-advocacy, social skills, stress reduction techniques and in the acquisition of positive behavior
Observing the individual and environment for purposes of data collection to determine baseline as well as to determine the efficacy of the BSP or consultation plan
Providing ongoing support in the form of implementation of the BSP or consultation plan, training, observation in a variety of settings, consultation with team members, attendance at psychiatric appointments if requested
Tracking behavioral progress through monthly, quarterly and/or annual reports

Minimum Qualifications:

(1) Have a master’s degree in:

clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, or another applied health service area of psychology;
special education;
social work; or
counseling;

be a licensed marriage and family therapist licensed under IC 25-23; or
be a licensed clinical social worker under IC 25-23; or
be a licensed mental health counselor under IC 25-23;
have a master’s degree in a human services field plus five (5) years of experience in devising, implementing, and monitoring behavior support plans;

Requirements

Documentation proving that you are at least 18 years of age,
Criminal background check documentation for any state and county that you have resided/worked for the past 3 years,
Copy of current driver’s license and proof of current auto insurance,
A negative TB screening (to include a negative chest x-ray in the case of a positive skin test) signed and dated by a health department official or any entity authorized to screen for TB prior to the provision of any services,
Copy of current CPR certification through the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, the National Safety Council, the American Health and Safety Institute, or the Emergency Care and Safety Council
Copy of diploma that demonstrates appropriate education for your position (Master's degree),
Copy of current licensure, certification or registration if applicable
Verification of a professional nurse registry search for professionally licensed employees that is free of citations for malpractice, malfeasance, or other unprofessional actions,
Copy of current malpractice/liability insurance.

Pay: $53.87 - $65.00 per hour
