Join our dynamic team as a Loan Officer and become a vital part of helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership dreams! In this energetic role, you will be the first point of contact for clients seeking mortgage solutions, guiding them through the loan process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise will help clients understand their options, navigate complex financial products, and secure the best loan terms available. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your sales skills, financial knowledge, and customer service talents to make a meaningful impact every day.

Duties

Engage with prospective borrowers to assess their financial needs and explain various loan options aligned with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and Fair Housing regulations.
Collect and review all necessary documentation for loan origination, including credit reports, income verification, and asset statements.
Conduct thorough credit analysis and underwriting assessments to determine borrower eligibility and risk levels.
Utilize mortgage servicing software such as Quicken or other financial software to process applications efficiently and accurately.
Negotiate loan terms with clients while ensuring compliance with TILA (Truth in Lending Act) regulations and contractual obligations.
Collaborate with underwriters, escrow officers, and banking partners to facilitate smooth loan processing from application to closing.
Maintain excellent customer service by providing timely updates, answering questions, and guiding clients through each step of the loan process.
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations related to mortgage lending, including Fair Housing laws.

Skills

Proven experience in loan origination or mortgage servicing within a financial services environment.
Strong sales ability combined with effective negotiation skills to close deals confidently.
Knowledge of FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, escrow procedures, and credit analysis techniques.
Proficiency in financial software such as Quicken, accounting software, or specialized mortgage platforms.
Excellent math skills including basic math operations and 10-key typing for data entry accuracy.
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and professionally.
Familiarity with loan processing steps, underwriting procedures, contracts management, and banking practices.
Ability to analyze credit reports and financial documents swiftly while adhering to compliance standards. Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise fuels client success!
