Overview

Join our compassionate team as a Caregiver/Personal Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring dedicated support and personalized care. Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, and medication administration following care plans and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Monitor patients’ vital signs, observe for changes in condition, and communicate findings effectively to healthcare teams or family members.
Support clients with meal preparation tailored to dietary needs, including specialized diets for dementia or Alzheimer's care.
Facilitate safe patient transfers and transportation using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure comfort and safety during outings or appointments.
Maintain detailed documentation of patient observations, care provided, medication schedules, and incident reports in accordance with healthcare standards.
Assist with household chores such as cleaning and maintaining a hygienic environment to promote overall well-being.

Skills

Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or senior populations in settings such as group homes or nursing facilities.
Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and managing patients with Alzheimer's disease.
Familiarity with medical procedures including vital signs measurement, medication administration, CPR/First Aid certification, and use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts.
Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals while respecting privacy laws like HIPAA.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks required for patient transfers or mobility assistance.
Experience supporting individuals with autism or other intellectual disabilities through personalized support plans.
Competence in home & community care practices including assisting with ADLs, personal transportation assistance, and home safety protocols.
