Job Title: Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer
Location: Atlanta, GA 30309
Assignment Duration: 10 Weeks with Possible Extension
Shift: Day Shift | 4x10-Hour Shifts
Schedule: Friday – Monday | 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
On-Call Requirement:
- One week of call coverage, twice during the assignment (approximately every 13 weeks)
Float Requirement:
- Floating within the facility and within the scope of practice as needed
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer to join a leading cardiovascular imaging team in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is ideal for a highly skilled sonographer who is passionate about delivering exceptional cardiac imaging services while working in a collaborative and patient-focused environment.
The successful candidate will perform high-quality echocardiographic examinations, assist physicians with diagnostic evaluations, and contribute to outstanding cardiovascular patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Obtain accurate cardiac images and Doppler studies to support diagnostic interpretation.
- Assess image quality and ensure complete studies for physician review.
- Monitor patient condition during examinations while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records within the electronic medical record system.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot echocardiography equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care.
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and departmental quality standards.
- Participate in on-call rotation and float assignments within the facility as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer experience – Required.
- Strong experience performing adult echocardiographic examinations.
- Excellent knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and echocardiographic imaging techniques.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.

Experience:
- Recent Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer: 2 years (Preferred)
- Pediatrics Sonographer: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- ACLS Certification (Preferred)
Work Location: On the road
