Full Job Description

Coweta F.O.R.C.E. exists to provide recovery support services in the community for individuals and family members impacted by addiction. We envision a community that embraces recovery so that everyone has the opportunity to experience freedom from addiction.

Our work is more than a job, it is a shared commitment to showing up fully with compassion, dignity, and lived experience. Program Coordinators play a key leadership role by ensuring recovery support services are delivered with integrity, consistency, and heart, while remaining actively engaged in direct peer support alongside their team.

This role requires strong leadership, accountability, and the ability to balance people-centered service with program oversight. Program Coordinators lead through collaboration, transparency, and support, while maintaining responsibility for systems, outcomes, and team development.

This role is best suited for individuals who feel called to lead recovery support services at the program level while remaining grounded in direct service and team connection.

Position Overview

The Program Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of a designated recovery support program while providing direct peer support services. This role ensures program effectiveness, staff support, compliance, and alignment with Coweta F.O.R.C.E.’s mission and values.

Role Purpose

To lead and strengthen recovery support services by managing program operations, supervising staff, supporting service delivery, and ensuring quality, accountability, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Program Operations & Oversight

Manage daily operations of the program, including scheduling, workflows, and service coordination.
Ensure program procedures, documentation, and data collection requirements are followed.
Monitor service quality, consistency, and participant engagement.
Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.

Team Leadership & Supervision

Supervise Lead Coaches and Peer Coaches.
Support hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development of staff.
Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance support.
Foster a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team culture.

Direct Peer Support & Service Delivery

Provide direct peer support and participant engagement.
Model appropriate use of lived experience, boundaries, and recovery-oriented practices.
Support complex participant needs and assist staff with challenging situations.

Compliance, Reporting & Outcomes

Oversee documentation, data submission, and reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with contracts, grants, and funding requirements.
Monitor program outcomes and service metrics.
Prepare reports and documentation for leadership and funders as required.

Coordination & Community Engagement

Coordinate trainings, partnerships, and program-related events.
Serve as a liaison with community partners and stakeholders.
Represent Coweta F.O.R.C.E. in meetings, collaborations, and outreach efforts.

Required Qualifications

Minimum two (2) years in recovery from alcohol and/or other substance use.
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
Willingness to complete 40 hours of Recovery Coach training (CARES) within 12 months if not already certified.
Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively use computers and standard workplace technology, including email, electronic documentation systems, and basic data entry, with accuracy and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience providing peer support or recovery coaching.
Program coordination or management experience
Experience with grants, compliance, or reporting requirements
Training or facilitation experience
Familiarity with community-based recovery support models

Reporting Structure

Reports to: Executive Leadership
Supervises: Lead Coaches and Peer Coaches

Scope of Impact

Influences overall program effectiveness, staff performance, and participant outcomes.
Ensures programs meet service, compliance, and quality standards.

Decision-Making Authority

Makes operational decisions affecting the program within organizational policies.
Adjusts workflows, staffing, and procedures as needed.
Escalates major concerns or strategic decisions to the Executive Manager.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $45,000–$48,000 annually
Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and funding availability
Pay is issued bi-weekly
Paid Time Off (PTO) is accrued from day one and available for use after 90 days
One paid Self-Care Day per month available after 30 days of employment
Birthday off during the employee’s birthday month
Paid holidays (or replacement days off, as applicable)
Regular pay and paid expenses are provided during required CARES training
Opportunities for continuing education and professional development
30-day trial period to support mutual fit and success

Work Schedule & Environment

Standard work schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with adjustments as needed based on organizational needs
Work occurs primarily in a recovery support center and community-based settings
Regular, direct interaction with participants, families, and community partners

Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
