Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electronic Assembly and Testing Technician specializing in Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, soldering, and testing electronic components and PCB assemblies to ensure they meet rigorous quality standards. Your expertise in electronics assembly, schematic reading, and troubleshooting will contribute to the development of reliable electro-mechanical products. Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic components onto PCBs using surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole techniques, following detailed blueprints and schematics.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and other precision instruments to perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks accurately.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to ensure correct component placement and wiring configurations.
- Conduct soldering operations in accordance with IPC 610 standards to ensure high-quality electrical connections.
- Build electrical panels and electro-mechanical assemblies by following engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform functional testing of assembled PCBs using testing equipment, troubleshooting issues with engineering support as needed.
- Document inspection results, test data, and assembly progress thoroughly to maintain traceability and quality control records.
Experience
- Proven experience in electronics assembly, PCB manufacturing, or related manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT), electrical wiring, schematic reading, and blueprint interpretation.
- Hands-on experience with soldering techniques compliant with IPC 610 standards.
- Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting methods using multimeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Mechanical assembly skills including machining or mechanical knowledge are a plus.
- Ability to follow detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions accurately.
- Prior experience working with electro-mechanical components or electrical panels is highly desirable.
