Full Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Mental Health Worker and become a vital part of transforming lives through compassionate, person-centered care. In this role, you will provide support to individuals facing mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, and behavioral health needs. Your energetic and proactive approach will help create a safe, nurturing environment where clients can thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing your skills in behavioral health, crisis management, and patient care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting independence.
Implement behavior management plans and applied behavior analysis techniques to support positive behavioral changes.
Conduct intake assessments, document medical records, and maintain accurate data collection in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Monitor vital signs and administer medication as prescribed, ensuring proper medical documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
Respond swiftly to crises or behavioral incidents using crisis intervention strategies and crisis management skills to de-escalate situations effectively.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs, including those with autism, PTSD, or developmental disabilities.
Support clients’ social work needs by fostering communication, emotional regulation, and social skills development.

Requirements

Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies for behavioral health emergencies.
Team Player
Ability to work effectively with people experiencing PTSD, various mental health diagnosis's or cooccuring addiction-related challenges.
Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and electronic health records (Kipu).
Familiarity with Intakes and Discharge policies and procedures
Knowledge of Rounds, Crisis intervention, etc.
Ability to accurately measure vital signs and administer medication following prescribed protocols.
Excellent communication skills for conducting intake assessments and documenting patient care thoroughly.
