Program Associates are at the heart of our day-to-day operations. They help ensure our program runs safely and smoothly by supporting clients, maintaining structure, coordinating daily activities, and working closely with the rest of the treatment team. Who We Are

Maui Recovery is a residential treatment center serving adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We provide evidence-based care in a structured, respectful environment where clients are supported as they build lasting recovery.

Recovery is rarely predictable, and neither is this job. Priorities can shift quickly, unexpected situations arise, and every day requires teamwork, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. We believe the best care comes from people who are dependable, adaptable, and genuinely invested in helping others succeed.

What You'll Do

As a Program Associate, you'll help ensure the safety, structure, and smooth operation of our residential treatment program. Responsibilities include:

Supervising clients and maintaining a safe, respectful, and structured environment
Helping clients stay on schedule for groups, appointments, meals, medications, and other daily activities
Safely transporting clients to appointments and approved activities using company vehicles
Observing and documenting medication self-administration
Obtaining and documenting vital signs
Performing urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, and other approved screenings
Assisting with admissions, orientations, and discharges
Serving meals and snacks
Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility
Completing accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Communicating important observations and concerns to the clinical and medical teams
Maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
Responding appropriately to emergencies and helping de-escalate challenging situations
Supporting the overall day-to-day operations of the program wherever needed

Exercises good judgment and maintains appropriate professional boundaries
Is confident de-escalating conflict and responding appropriately during crises
Pays close attention to detail and completes documentation accurately
Treats every client with dignity, respect, and compassion

Behavioral health experience is valuable, but character matters just as much. If you're resilient, eager to learn, and motivated by helping others build a better future, we'd love to hear from you.

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Ability to pass all required background checks and pre-employment screenings

Preferred

Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, residential treatment, emergency services, hospitality, or other human service settings
Experience working with individuals experiencing substance use and/or mental health disorders
