Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate cook join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food service. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our fine dining standards, while ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are strictly followed. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a vibrant restaurant environment. And an opportunity to gain new and valuable skills!

Responsibilities

Ability to Prepare high-quality sushi, adhering to strict quality standards
Apply advance knife skills required for making sushi and other Japanese dishes preferred
Maintain menu knowledge and attention to detail of plate presentation
Set-up workstation based on pars established by Chef and follow station set-up sheet, and operate sushi station
Maintain a clean and organized workstation while butchering fish and prepping ingredients
Evaluate flavors and appearance of dishes to ensure top-notch quality
Follow health and safety protocols, ensuring proper food storage and serving temperatures
Collaborate with FOH and BOH staff in a fast-paced environment

The Ideal Candidate:

Must currently hold or be able to obtain both a Food Handler’s card
Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
Ability to showcase strong organizational skills
