Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Perform general ledger accounting and maintain accurate journal entries.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Prepare financial reports that provide insights into the organization’s performance.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks
Execute payroll processing and maintain payroll records accurately.
Analyze accounts for discrepancies and perform account reconciliation as needed.
Collaborate with team members on budgeting and financial forecasting.
Attend Board Meetings
Maintain facility insurance records, workmen's compensation, and unemployment compensation

Basic qualifications

Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping and a solid understanding of financial concepts.
Experience with governmental or non-profit accounting is a plus.

Strong technical accounting skills, including account analysis and budgeting experience.
