Full Job Description

Seattle Sperm Bank is an internationally recognized sperm bank with industry-leading donor testing and screening procedures which adhere strictly to FDA, CLIA, and state regulations. We work hard to provide couples and individuals with the choices they need to make their dreams of conception, pregnancy, and childbirth a reality. Seattle Sperm Bank is a steadily growing company, offering a comfortable yet professional working environment.

We are excited to announce that we have a full-time Biological Analyst position available for a qualified applicant in our Seattle laboratory. Primary duties include microscopic specimen analysis, density-gradient cellular purification, cryopreservation procedures, DNA extraction, morphology, QA/QC duties, and additional laboratory responsibilities as assigned/required. The chosen candidates will work in a laboratory team environment, with responsibilities rotating from assisting, collaborating, and leading the team. Additional responsibilities will include rotating administrative tasks, including donor recruitment efforts and other non-lab tasks. This position offers a great opportunity to learn more about the expanding field of fertility science while working as part of a personable and talented team.

The ideal candidates:

Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a life science, preferably Biology
Have at least one year of laboratory experience
Demonstrate strong attention to detail
Possess knowledge of MS Office (Word & Excel).
Have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills
Have previous experience with quality control in a CLIA-certified lab
Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Are able to perform or willing to learn phlebotomy procedures
Have the ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
Are willing to work with liquid nitrogen and comply with safety standards
Are willing to contribute to donor recruitment efforts

Schedule:

Monday - Friday: Multiple shifts available between 6:30AM - 5:45PM.
Rotating Saturdays: 8:00am - 1:00pm. If you work Saturday, you'll have a weekday off.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $55,000.00 per year
