Full Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee daily operations at our gorgeous lakeside restaurant and marina. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for customer service, team development, and business operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering to minimize waste and control costs.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.

Team Leadership & Development:

Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Schedule and manage shifts to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.
Motivate and mentor employees to provide excellent customer service.
Conduct performance evaluations and implement staff development programs.

Customer Service & Experience:

Ensure outstanding customer service by setting high standards for hospitality and product quality.
Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Develop relationships with regular customers to foster community engagement.

Financial & Business Management:

Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.
Manage budgets, control expenses, and track financial performance.
Handle cash management, POS systems, and financial reporting.
Develop marketing and promotional strategies to attract new customers.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in café/restaurant management or hospitality leadership.
Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Understanding of financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
