Summary
The Senior Operations Program Specialist provides administrative and operational support for key production programs, contract grower activities, compliance schedules, and operational reporting. This position coordinates assigned programs, maintains accurate records and business systems, prepares recurring reports, and helps ensure day-to-day operational activities are completed accurately and on time.
Working under the direction of the Director, Procurement and Operations Programs, this role supports the execution of established processes and serves as a resource for routine operational questions when the Director is unavailable. The position is responsible for the administration and coordination of assigned programs and does not establish departmental strategies or operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource for routine operational questions and support established processes when the Director is unavailable.
- Coordinate bird moves, spent hen movements, layer replenishment schedules, trucking communication, and related schedule entry.
- Enter, maintain, and update PSS schedules, production forecasting data, alarm call lists, emergency contacts, farm licenses, and land-related databases.
- Maintain accurate layer flock records in Quickbase, including new flock entry, ongoing updates, closures, and assigned production data.
- Coordinate SE/AI testing schedules and upload testing results into Quickbase.
- Process purchase orders, contract producer payments, rental accruals, check requests, and related communications for contract grower programs.
- Order vaccines for contract growers as needed and support contract grower program administration.
- Prepare month-end operational reports and related summaries, including Pullet Capitalization Sheets, Rental Accrual Summary, Trillium Billing Summary, UEP support, milling month-end reports, and audit documentation.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Agriculture, Operations Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Quickbase or similar business systems preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

The Senior Operations Programs Specialist is expected to execute assigned operational programs with accuracy, consistency, and efficiency. Success in this role is measured by the timely completion of recurring operational activities, the accuracy of operational data and reporting, effective coordination with internal departments and external partners, and dependable support of the operational programs directed by the Director, Procurement and Operations Programs.
This position serves as a key operational partner by ensuring established programs and processes are carried out effectively while escalating issues requiring management review or strategic direction.
