Full Job Description

This position is for Tuesday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m, Thursday 8 a.m.-12pm, PRN as needed, and is paid PER SCAN at $42.50.

Responsibilities:

Performs ultrasound examinations per scanning protocols, correcting patient history with the examination, and presents the study to the physician for examination while adhering to patient schedules.
Assists physicians with procedures, providing sonographic guidance during the process, obtains necessary supplies and equipment, and monitors patient needs assisting physicians with patient support.
Maintains documentation as required including patient files, performs data entry, and completes paperwork needed for procedures/processes.
Develops film through automatic processing, monitoring darkroom supplies and equipment.
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in obstetrics and gynecology research and practices

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
Satisfactory completion of an accredited radiologic technology program that meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program that meets requirements for registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Experience with medical imaging technologies such as ViewPoint and EPIC
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Certifications:

Registry by the ARDMS in fetal echocardiography
