Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our finance team and oversee all aspects of accounting operations. This pivotal role involves managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining the integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in GAAP reporting. As an energetic leader, you will mentor team members, drive process improvements, and uphold the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Manage all daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash management.
Manage reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and various general ledger accounts monthly.
Manage sales tax filings, payroll processing, estimated taxes and other regulatory reporting.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Perform and oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes.
Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff while remaining actively involved in daily accounting functions. Hire and train staff as needed.
Coordinate annual financial audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
Prepare schedules and documentation for tax accountants and support annual tax filings.
Monitor cash flow and assist with cash forecasting.
Support ERP system maintenance, upgrades, and implementation of accounting-related technology.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement efficiencies.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 7 years experience in manufacturing
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Excellent organizational and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
