Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay is a fast-paced and well established Orthopaedic practice with 9 locations. The practice specializes in sports medicine, and surgical and non-surgical treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. We are looking to hire a Clinical Athletic Trainer for our various locations in Tampa Bay. Fellowship and/or Orthopaedic clinical experience preferred.
The ATCs in our practice perform the following roles:
- Room patients and obtain the history and update the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Assist the physicians with in-office procedures
- Draw blood and prepare the PRP injections and prep for stem cell injections
- Provide support in our physical therapy and service center
- Triage patient clinical phone calls
- Educate patients on HEP's
- Fit splints, braces, crutches and other DME
- Provide Outreach and other traditional athletic training and sports medicine duties
- Responsible for following all HIPPA regulations and guidelines
- Responsible for following all OSHA guidelines
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
- Other duties as assigned
Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay is looking for highly motivate healthcare professionals that demonstrate an outstanding work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.

Requirements:
MUST be BOC Certified and eligible for State of FL licensure.
Valid Driver’s License and Reliable Vehicle – Will be required to travel to different clinic locations

- Ensures complete documentation and accurate billing when applicable.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients being served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of each patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures.
- Responsible for providing patient treatment under the direct supervision of a Licensed physician or physician’s assistant in the clinic setting.
- Assists with special events outside the clinic.
- Participates in the organization and development of educational and community programs.
Other Related Functions
- May be called to work as an Athletic Trainer in sports setting or injury prevention education under standing orders from a physician. In the non-clinic setting, the Athletic Trainer will report to the Director of Athletic Training Services.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED: Standard office and clinical equipment. Requires use of computer and electronic medical record (EMR).
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Combination of office and clinical setting. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic setting.

Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing 5 to 30 lbs or more. May assist patients as needed, helping them on and off the exam table, or pushing wheelchairs. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Stress can be triggered by workload and complex cases. Occasional stress caused by multitasking, level of responsibility, and workload.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional long hours may be required as business needs dictate.
