Admissions Representative

Lakeland, FL | Full-Time | $25.00–$35.00/hour DOE

About the Role

Kingsky Flight Academy is seeking an experienced, polished, and highly motivated Admissions Representative to join our team. This position serves as a primary point of contact for prospective students and represents Kingsky throughout the admissions process, from initial inquiry and application through enrollment and new student orientation.

This is a high-visibility role requiring an exceptional communicator who can build relationships, confidently represent our programs, maintain accurate student records, and turn prospective-student interest into enrollment. The Admissions Representative will also represent Kingsky at university campuses, recruiting events, tours, and other opportunities within the aviation and higher education communities.

Kingsky currently serves 300+ students, operates a fleet of 36 aircraft, employs approximately 70 flight instructors, and partners with four universities whose students complete their flight training with Kingsky. The right candidate will be comfortable stepping into a large, active flight training environment and contributing almost immediately.

Reports to: Sales & Admissions Manager

Schedule & Location

Full-time, Monday through Friday
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
In-office position at our Lakeland Linder International Airport campus
Occasional local travel to university campuses, recruiting events, and other outreach activities may be required

Compensation & Benefits

$25.00–$35.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications

What You'll Do

Admissions & Student Relations

Guide prospective students through the admissions process by answering questions, explaining programs and requirements, requesting necessary application documentation, and providing consistent follow-up from initial inquiry through enrollment.
Serve as a knowledgeable and professional resource for students and families through frequent phone, email, and face-to-face communication.
Lead new student orientations, helping incoming students understand expectations, resources, processes, and next steps as they begin flight training.
Develop strong relationships with prospective and incoming students while providing the level of service expected from a professional flight training organization.

Recruiting & Enrollment

Build relationships with prospective students, understand their aviation and career goals, and effectively communicate how Kingsky's training programs can help them achieve those goals.
Conduct campus tours and confidently present Kingsky's programs, facilities, aircraft, training environment, and student experience to prospective students and families.
Represent Kingsky at partner universities, recruiting events, career fairs, aviation events, and other outreach opportunities.
Proactively follow up with prospective students, maintain an organized pipeline of applicants, and work toward enrollment and recruiting objectives.

Student Records & Administration

Prepare student enrollment contracts and related documentation, ensure information is accurate and complete, and distribute contracts to students for review and completion as part of the enrollment process.
Create, maintain, and update student records in electronic and physical systems, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and appropriately maintained.
Regularly audit student records to identify missing, incomplete, expired, or outdated documentation and proactively obtain necessary updates to maintain complete and current student files.
Track applications, contracts, required documentation, outstanding items, deadlines, and follow-ups while collaborating with Scheduling, Flight Standards, Billing, and other departments to support a smooth transition from applicant to active flight student.

General Responsibilities

Serve as a professional and credible representative of Kingsky Flight Academy both on campus and throughout the community.
Manage a workload that frequently changes throughout the day while remaining proactive, organized, and accountable for ongoing responsibilities and follow-up.
Exercise sound judgment and professionalism when communicating with students, families, university partners, and other external stakeholders.
Perform other duties and assist with departmental priorities as the needs of the organization evolve.

Qualifications

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Professional experience in admissions, student relations, enrollment, recruiting, or student services within a higher education environment.
Demonstrated sales, recruiting, business development, or enrollment experience with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate the value of a program or service.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills, including experience creating and maintaining detailed records, managing documentation, tracking follow-ups, and working across multiple computer systems.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a polished, professional presence and confidence communicating by phone, email, in person, and before groups.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect effectively with prospective students, current students, families, university representatives, and internal departments.
Highly proactive and self-directed work style with the ability to manage changing priorities without losing track of deadlines, follow-ups, or ongoing responsibilities.
Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for recruiting and outreach activities as needed.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Professional experience within aviation, flight training, or aviation higher education.
Working knowledge of FAA flight training requirements and the progression toward Private Pilot and Commercial Pilot certification.
Experience recruiting or advising students pursuing professional aviation careers.
Experience working with international students.
Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Hindi.

Work Environment

This is primarily an in-office position at Kingsky Flight Academy's Lakeland Linder International Airport campus within an active flight training environment. The Admissions Representative should expect frequent interaction with students, families, instructors, employees, and visitors, along with regular interruptions and changing priorities. Some local travel and off-site work will occur when representing Kingsky at university campuses, recruiting events, career fairs, and other outreach opportunities.
