Practice & Revenue Cycle Manager

Job Overview

Spine Institute of Central Florida is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Practice and Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee the financial health and operational efficiency of our healthcare practice. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical office management, revenue cycle processes, and fiscal oversight. This leadership role requires a comprehensive understanding of medical billing, coding, insurance reimbursement, and practice operations to optimize revenue streams while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The Practice and Revenue Cycle Manager will be dedicated to maintaining accurate oversight of billing, collections and streamlining administrative workflows to support efficient and effective collections in an ambulatory surgical facility as well as office related collection procedures.

Responsibilities

Oversee revenue cycle operations including claims management, collections, denials, payment workflows, reimbursement optimization, and accounts receivable oversight
Scrub claims prior to submission and actively manage denial, rejection, hold, and aging claim work queues
Collaborate with billing vendors, insurance carriers, and RCM partners to improve collections and reimbursement outcomes
Compose and send highly articulated correspondence including demand letters
Correspond and abide by appropriate timelines if IDR processes are necessary
Prepare and analyze operational, financial, productivity, and revenue reports
Implement and monitor billing procedures utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to ensure accurate coding and timely reimbursements.
Manage fiscal operations and ASC/practice collections to maximize practice profitability.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of medical records while adhering to regulatory standards.
Assist in updating insurance contract negotiations
Lead efforts in managed care negotiations, utilization management, and insurance claim appeals to improve revenue recovery.
Monitor key performance indicators related to practice management, billing accuracy, and patient satisfaction to identify areas for improvement.

Experience

Proven experience in medical billing/collection management with a focus on revenue cycle operations within healthcare clinics, ambulatory surgical center, or hospitals.
Strong background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control strategies.
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations such as AHCA
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as NexGen/HealthFusion or similar platforms is required.
Experience with managed care contracts, utilization management programs, and insurance reimbursement processes is highly desirable.
Previous experience in collection management in ambulatory surgical center setting preferred including billing oversight as well as IDR process management and completion.
Experience in codes and billing for orthpaedic spine, neurosurgery and/or orthopaedic specialties preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements in practice management while fostering a collaborative team environment.
