Optometrist – Correctional Facility | Lakeview & Ontario, OR
Job Description:
ATC Healthcare Northwest is seeking a Travel Optometrist for a 13-week assignment in Correctional Facilities located in Lakeview and Ontario, Oregon.
This is a unique opportunity to provide essential eye care services in a correctional healthcare setting while earning competitive pay and making a meaningful impact on underserved populations.
Optometrist Assignment Details:
- Position: Travel Optometrist
- Location: Lakeview & Ontario, Oregon
- Setting: Correctional Facility
- Duration: 13 Weeks with opportunity to renew
- Pay: $100/hr

Optometrist Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision screenings
- Diagnose and treat common ocular conditions and diseases
- Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as appropriate
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
- Provide patient education regarding eye health and preventive care
Optometrist Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
- Active Oregon Optometrist license (or ability to obtain)
- Previous clinical experience required; correctional experience is a plus but not required
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a correctional healthcare environment
