Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 pm - 5:00 am

We specialize in frozen, ready-to-eat food and great customer relationships. Most of our business is developing quality custom food products for our customers.

ROLE

SUMMARY

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the production plant in compliance with established sanitary standards and protocols.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Clean and sanitize production floor, walls, and equipment.
Disassemble equipment for cleaning and sanitizing.
Assemble clean equipment back together.
Understand protocol and standard for wearing safety gears & glasses.
Understand instructions on chemical use & mixing.
Complete daily task forms.
Perform all other duties deemed necessary or required by the sanitation manager.
Inform and report any issue or equipment malfunction to sanitation manager.
Understand function and activity of ozone.
Understand MSS for chemicals used.
Adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Adherence to SQF (Safe Quality Food).
Adherence to all safety policies.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Maintain behaviors that support our CORE VALUES.
Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Some experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

None required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Ability to effectively handle multiple, concurrent projects requiring judgment and initiative.
Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Able to work effectively in a fast-pace, time-critical environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to lift 20 pounds.
Excellent listening skills and attention to detail and accuracy.

The Associate is occasionally required to climb or balance, kneel, and crouch. The Associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is occasionally exposed to extreme cold (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually low.

REQUIRED TRAINING

This position requires training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality, and process efficiency. Training is also required

on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation and cleanliness of the lines, etc., critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.
