Full Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Patient Service Representative to join our outpatient medical team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while supporting front office operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients in person and over the phone while providing excellent customer service.
Check patients in and out, collect co-payments, issue receipts, and reconcile payments.
Verify patient demographics and insurance information using CS-Link/Epic.
Schedule appointments and complete patient registration.
Process and track referrals and insurance authorizations.
Respond to patient and provider correspondence.
Assist with resolving patient concerns and escalate issues when appropriate.
Explain office policies, procedures, and available services to patients.
Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace by following department guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Current flu vaccination required (no declinations or exemptions accepted).
Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans.
At least 1 year of recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting.
Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed verbal and written instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of recent experience as a Patient Service Representative.
Experience using CS-Link/Epic electronic health record systems.
Knowledge of medical terminology.

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Experience:

Outpatient clinic or medical office: 1 year (Required)
Patient Service Representative: 2 years (Required)
CS-Link/EPIC: 1 year (Required)
