Manager of Scheduling

Professional Employment Group (PEG)

Professional Employment Group is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Manager of Construction Scheduling. This leadership opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives on planning complex projects, partnering with field operations, and driving successful project execution through effective scheduling.

Position Overview

The Scheduling Manager will oversee project scheduling from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring schedules accurately reflect project scope, sequencing, and contractual milestones. This role partners with operations, preconstruction, project management, and field leadership to identify schedule risks, develop recovery plans, and support successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain comprehensive CPM schedules throughout all phases of construction.
Build and manage baseline schedules, schedule updates, and milestone tracking.
Analyze project schedules to identify risks, delays, and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and evaluate schedule changes resulting from scope modifications.
Work closely with project teams to ensure schedules align with field operations and project objectives.
Support pursuit efforts by preparing conceptual and proposal schedules.
Coordinate scheduling activities across multiple active projects.
Review schedule performance and provide recommendations to improve project execution.
Assist with schedule reporting for clients and internal leadership.
Promote scheduling best practices across project teams.

Qualifications

Required

10+ years of construction scheduling experience.
Expert-level experience using Oracle Primavera, Microsoft Project.
Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
Experience preparing and maintaining detailed construction schedules.
Knowledge of Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and schedule delay analysis.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing from preconstruction through turnover.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

Experience supporting large commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or advanced manufacturing projects.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Professional scheduling certification (PMI-SP, PSP, or similar).

Compensation

$130,000–$180,000 annually, depending on experience.
