Job Description:
We are currently seeking qualified and compassionate individuals to join our team as NEMT Emergency Medical Technicians - Basic (EMT-B)/EMT-1. As an integral part of our healthcare transportation services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and assistance to patients during non-emergency medical transport.
Responsibilities:
● Safely transport patients using stretcher/gurney equipment to and from medical facilities, residences, and other destinations.
● Appropriately uses medical equipment as required for patients.
● Assess and monitor patients' medical conditions during transit, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
● Follows and maintains thorough familiarity with evolving medical treatment protocols, response requirements, quality assurance procedures, local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
● Maintains complete and accurate documentation of patient on all required documentation/forms.
● Provide compassionate and professional assistance to patients, addressing their needs and concerns during transit.
● Effective communication skills.
● Directly involved in patient care.
● Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitization of the vehicle and equipment.
● Ensure vehicles maintain adequate supply and stock for transportations.
Requirements:
● Must have and maintain active EMT/EMT-B Certification and License.
● Must have and maintain active CPR, First Aid Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
● Must have 1+ years experience as an EMT in NEMT transportation.
● Pass a mandatory criminal background test.
● Pass Pre-employment drug test.
● A valid driver’s license & a clean driving record.
● Adequate knowledge of Los Angeles County (preferred).
