Full Job Description

Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of materials and services. This role partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance to support production schedules, mitigate risk, and drive continuous improvement across sourcing, planning, and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the supply chain lifecycle, including sourcing, procurement, planning, inventory control, and supplier performance
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and compliance requirements are met
Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to support production schedules, NPI efforts, and demand forecasts
Identify supply chain risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies
Drive cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and delivery standards
Oversee inventory levels to balance availability with working capital goals
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (ITAR/EAR, FAR/DFARS, as applicable)
Analyze supply chain data and KPIs to support decision-making and continuous improvement
Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain team members (if applicable)
Support audits and supplier assessments as required

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
7+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
Experience managing suppliers and negotiating contracts
Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, and production support
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
Experience in regulated industries (aerospace, defense, or similar) strongly preferred
Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Experience with ITAR/EAR-regulated environments
Background supporting low-volume, high-mix manufacturing
Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience
Prior people management experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to defense contract requirements.
