Shift: Part-time, (15) hours a week; this position requires a flexible schedule, with hours varying between mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings based on scheduled activities and events. Evening availability may be required for special events.

Working alongside our Activities Director, you'll assist with daily programming, special events, transportation coordination, and community celebrations while providing one-on-one support to residents and their families. Key Responsibilities:

Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing engaging resident activities, wellness programs, and creative arts programming.

Encourage resident participation by incorporating individual interests, preferences, and abilities into activities and events.

Build meaningful relationships with residents and families through regular interaction, support, and communication.

Provide one-on-one support to residents, answer questions, and assist with identifying needs or concerns.

Assist with community events, celebrations, outings, and special programs that enhance resident engagement.

Help prepare activity spaces, arrange rooms, and set up materials and equipment for scheduled programs.

Assist with transportation coordination, including medical appointments, outings, and resident transportation needs.

Operate company vehicles safely when needed and assist with resident transportation services.

Support resident-focused initiatives, including birthday celebrations, special deliveries, and programs designed to make residents feel valued.

Complete required documentation, reports, and administrative tasks accurately and timely.

Collaborate with the Creative Arts team and other departments to develop meaningful programming and services.

Maintain a safe, welcoming, and positive environment that promotes resident dignity, independence, and well-being.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Must be able to move throughout the workday and assist with activity setup, resident engagement, and community programs.
Must be able to cope with the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the position.
Must meet the general health requirements established by the organization.
Must be able to assist with arranging activity spaces, moving furniture, and preparing materials as needed.
Must be able to assist with emergency procedures, including resident evacuation when necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One year of experience in a skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, healthcare, hospitality, recreation, or related setting preferred.
Experience in activities, creative arts, wellness, or resident engagement programming preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Creative, organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to interact professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds while demonstrating maturity, patience, and respect.
